Who doesn’t love grandparents? Actually, they take pride in being one and they are the best people to take care of things for their grandchildren whenever mom and dad are away.

They are the only set of people whom parents can trust to do the babysitting- because they will never mess things up.

Grandparents are loving, trustworthy, and oftentimes, they do things extra special and funny.

When Stephanie Waterhouse and her husband needed to be out of town, they asked for an extra pair of hands to take care of their infant.

Their son Ty’s grandfather was more than happy to oblige!

But while the couple was on vacation, they started receiving hilarious photos from grandpa back home via text. The pictures featured nothing but granddad and grand son’s funny “adventures” inside and outside of the home.

Stephanie decided to share the giggles with the rest of the world and the result – worldwide hilarity!

Actually, the Waterhouses are a military family. Stephanie asked her dad if he could take over the babysitting so the couple could go on a vacation (sadly, without baby Ty).

David a.k.a. “PawPaw” ecstatically accepted the generous offer and flew from Dallas, Texas all the way to Fort Knox, Kentucky, where Stephanie and her family were stationed.

Little did the couple know, PawPaw had planned a hilarious surprise.

According to Stephanie, her dad is a “low-tech” type of person. David doesn’t have a high-end phone and still carries a flip-phone that doesn’t even connect to the internet.

So, to be able to send his daughter some comical photos of their eight-month-old son Ty, David knew that he needed to up his creative side.

Hilarious photos of Ty from PawPaw’s flip phone began coming to Stephanie’s phone. Each picture featured their adorably innocent son and next to him were funny messages printed on a copy paper.

All these were obviously planned by David before he even flew to Texas.

Before he left, he printed these comic messages at home from his own computer.

One of the messages read:

“Dad and Mom – I met a girl. Grandpa said that Godfather Danny would be proud. Love Ty”

Who wouldn’t be proud, but hey, isn’t it just too early for Ty to be around girls? This is where the “bad grandpa” term comes in!

According to Stephanie, her father doesn’t have a Facebook account and doesn’t know “what a meme is.”

Funny, because he’s actually good at creating simple versions of them.

His printed messages are beyond comparison and even put other memes made from “high-tech” software to shame, wouldn’t you agree?

Ty even had a question that PawPaw passed over to the infant’s parents.

“Dad and Mom – We looked at Jeeps today. Can I get a license early? I liked the red one. Love Ty”

The granddad and grandson duo also seemed to step out when they got bored in the house.

PawPaw and Ty went out for some fresh air. Surprisingly, they were able to snap a photo of the jeep that Ty was talking about. I’d say that it’s a good choice for an eight-month-old.

“Low-tech” as PawPaw David might be, he wasn’t always that way.

Stephanie told GMA:

“My dad is a recently retired Dallas Police Officer. He was actually the person who created the database that tracked information for the Dallas Police Department. The FBI took his idea and modeled one of their national databases after the one he created.”

Actually, the couple wasn’t surprised at all when they began receiving these funny photos.

They knew that their son was in good hands and were miles away from worry as long as PawPaw was in charge of things.

“He [PawPaw] absolutely loves being a grandfather and loves spending time with Ty. I love that I’m able to just relax and know that my son is having the time of his life with his amazing Pawpaw.”
