The only problem is they can be rather time-consuming to make. Sure, they cook fast, but you also need to factor in the clean up time.
Fortunately, YouTube channel Allrecipes has a clever way to make omelets that makes clean-up a breeze. It’s called “omelet in a bag” because you will cook omelet in a plastic bag.
For this recipe, you will need the following ingredients. Feel free to add and remove ingredients you like. Customize the omelet to your liking!
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices ham, chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon chunky salsa
- 2 fresh mushrooms sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped green bell pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh tomato
First crack two eggs into a large resealable freezer bag.
Press out most of the air, and seal it. Then, beat the eggs by squeezing and shaking the bag.
Next, add the rest of the omelet ingredients into the bag.
Shake the bag to mix the ingredients, and squeeze out the air before sealing.
Place the bag in a large pot of boiling water. You should be able to cook multiple bags at the same time. Cook them for exactly 13 minutes.
Finally, enjoy the delicious omelet!
