Bread has been a part of our diet for a long time.

It goes well with most of our dishes. It fills us up, and it’s also satisfying.

Recent findings of a team of researchers from London discovered 14,400-year-old flatbread crumbs.

Many books have mentioned flatbread as one of the ancient bread our ancestors ate.

Today, flatbread is still around.

Many people have different versions of it, but the most delicious flatbreads have the simplest ingredients.

Aside from the fact that it’s so easy to make, flatbreads are healthier.

They reduce the risk of high cholesterol and even diabetes.

Compared to other bread, flatbreads are also very low in calories.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of sprouted flour
  • 1 cup of organic sweet potatoes
  • Sea salt

How to make it:

Get your organic sweet potatoes. Wash and peel them and then boil them until soft.

Make sure that when you will make your flatbread, your mashed sweet potatoes should still warm.

It’s easier to mix and mold.

The ratio should be one cup of sweet potato to a cup of your chosen flour.

Mix it well until you achieve the right consistency.

You may need to add more flour if it’s too mushy or you add more mashed sweet potatoes if it’s too dry.

Put flour on your work area and knead your dough.

Size is up to you.

Cut it into whatever size you want. If you like them big, you can cut your dough into 4-5 pieces.

If you want smaller flatbreads, you can cut them into 8-10 pieces.

Roll them into a ball and set them aside.

Using your roller, get one dough ball and flatten it.

Get your skillet and add your oil.

Stacy used coconut oil.

Fry one flatbread for around two minutes on each side.

Cooking time will depend on the size and thickness of your flatbread.

That’s it.

A tip from Stacy: you can use an old clean shirt and put your flatbreads there. It keeps them moist.
