By this time, people are already doing their Christmas rush shopping. Some have already put up their Christmas trees, while some may have already started wrapping presents.

We hear Christmas carols everywhere.
Due to the pandemic, everything changed. The busy streets aren’t so active anymore, but still, there’s no stopping us from celebrating Christmas, right?

People are still finding ways to prepare for this festive occasion—Christmas shopping online, for example. We can also start putting up Christmas decorations with your kids and loved ones, wrapping presents, and of course, singing Christmas songs.
What’s your favorite Christmas song?

Each song brings back so many memories. Who doesn’t know “Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer,” “Santa Baby,” “Winter Wonderland,” and of course, “Jingle Bells.“
These songs give us happiness, and it completes the holiday feeling, and who can stop us from singing them? You don’t have to be a professional singer to enjoy them.

Thanks to social media, we can enjoy beautiful Christmas songs everywhere.
Meet Jordan Rabjohn and Katherine Hallam, from Sheffield, UK, the mother-and-son duo who became viral because of their beautiful voices. Their version of “White Christmas” became viral, and people are talking about how great their voices are.

Jordan, however, says that it’s her mom who’s the better singer.
While this is an easy song to sing, each of us has ways to make it extra special, just like what Jordan and Katherine did. But before we dig into this sweet rendition of the famous Christmas song, did you know that this song had a sad origin?

First, it was written by a Russian born immigrant named Irving Berlin, who doesn’t even celebrate Christmas because he’s Jewish. Now, his three-week-old son died in 1928 on Christmas Day, and each day on that same day, he would visit his grave.
Can you imagine the pain he’s going through?

Another notable history about this song is that it was Bing Crosby who popularized the song. His original version was aired on Dec. 25, 1941. It was bittersweet because it was just a few weeks before when Pearl Harbor was attacked. People felt the deep meaning of this song, and until today, it’s part of our holiday season.
This mother-and-son cover is anything but sad.

Both Jordan and Katherine are wearing Christmas-themed sweaters – which by the way, are so adorable. There’s also that cute little Christmas tree on top of their white speaker.
It was simple, but you can feel the Christmas spirit.

Jordan and Katherine’s version is upbeat, fun, and joyous. It makes you want to sing-a-long with them. You’d also appreciate their fun behind-the-scene clips and, of course, their beautiful voices.
Listening to them, you just want to grab some hot chocolate and start wrapping presents under the tree. You feel it, don’t you? Christmas is here, and nothing can stop us from filling our hearts with joy and laughter.

If you can’t get enough of this song, then you’d love Katherine’s album too. Listen to the full cover of Jordan and Katherine here. Merry Christmas and enjoy!
