Have potatoes at your home and wondering what recipe you could do with them?
While there are so many types of potato recipes out there that are delicious and flavorful, we still want to learn new dishes that we will love.
Helly, a mother of four, shared a recipe on her YouTube channel Helly’s Simple Recipe, and it garnered over 2.9 million views.
Her claim is that her recipes are better than pizza, and we’re eager to verify it.
Let’s start off with recipe number 1. You’ll need the following:
2 350 grams potatoes, peeled and washed
Butter
150ml milk
150ml cream
2 cloves of garlic
Salt and black pepper
80g mozzarella cheese
Parsely (optional)
Thinly cut your potatoes and then butter your baking dish.
Place your sliced potatoes into the dish and then put them aside.
Get a skillet and pour 150ml into a pan followed by the 150ml cream.
Crush and chop 2 cloves of garlic and add that to your pan.
Add salt and black pepper to taste.
Mix well and let it boil.
Once done, pour on top of the potatoes and then bake for 30 minutes at 150°C/300°F.
Carefully take it out after 30 minutes and add 80g mozzarella cheese.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes at 180°C/356°C and that’s it.
You can sprinkle parsley on top if you want.
For recipe number 2, you’ll need:
3 350 grams potatoes washed and peeled
Salt
Black pepper
Paprika
Mozzarella Cheese
15 grams Green onion
Oil
Tomato sauce
2 Eggs
Grate your potatoes and squeeze the water out.
Place them in a bowl and mix in the 2 eggs, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
In a skillet, add your olive oil and pour half of your mixture into the pan. Evenly spread it out and fry for 3 minutes.
Flip over and fry the other half for another 3 minutes.
Once done, take out the first potato pancake and set aside.
Repeat the process on the other half and once both sides are cooked, it’s time to add in your tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.
Sprinkle with chopped green onions and top it with the first potato pancake.
Cook until the cheese melts and that’s it.
For recipe number 3, you’ll need:
220g Potatoes, washed and peeled
500ml water
salt
black pepper
paprika
olive oil
3 tbsps of cornstarch
mozzarella cheese
parsley (optional)
spinach(optional)
Thinly chop your potatoes and place them in a large bowl. Pour in some water and add salt.
Leave for 10 minutes, drain, and place in another clean but dry bowl.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley if you want.
Add in olive oil and mix really well.
Then you can add your cornstarch and mix again.
Heat up a skillet and add olive oil. Make sure the pan is coated.
Place the potato slices evenly throughout the pan and fry for about 5 – 7 minutes.
Once done, flip and let the other side fry for 3 – 5 minutes.
Once crispy and golden brown, set aside.
Repeat the process on the second potato crust and once you’ve fried both ends, you can add the cheese and spinach on top.
Get the first potato crust and place it on top.
Cook for 3 minutes or until the cheese melts. You’re done.
What we love about these recipes is that they are very easy to make, they are packed with flavor, and they are also very healthy.
You won’t even crave pizza once you’ve tried them.
