It’s a classic 60s song that has been covered over 400 times by both professional artists and amateurs.

According to King, the song’s title was inspired by a spiritual piece written by Sam Cooke and J. W. Alexander called “Stand by Me Father.”

The perfect place for a public performance.

(subway stations, SI Ferry)”

“Instead, we’ve been working the outdoor dining scene in Williamsburg or the Village
Thursday-Sunday evenings.”

Even the most meticulous ears would agree that they are such a talented group of men who deserve a larger stage.

The powerful lead vocals of Rome blends so incredibly well with the rest of the band. It’s an “almost” acapella piece that goes a lot better with that inviting bass accompaniment.

Truth be told, the songs from the older generations are gold, and we wish that someday, our musical artists today will be able to write songs with the same quality of heartfelt lyrics.

Actually, one of the millions who saw the video agrees with this. A YouTube user named Dante Griffen wrote in the comments:

“Honestly when this old generation passes I’m going to miss it. They had some good songs and that’s it up to us to spread on the good music”
