You’d probably be surprised to learn that that secret is mayonnaise. Yup! These yummy biscuits are made with mayo. It adds a tanginess and creaminess to your recipe and gives your biscuits a moist and fluffy texture.

And they couldn’t be easier to make! That’s because this recipe has just three ingredients.

All you need is some self-rising flour, milk, mayonnaise, and some muffin cups. Start by preheating your oven to 375 °F. Next, you’ll grease up six large muffin cups that you’ll eventually pour your batter into.

Now, you’ll mix up your batter. Mix 1/4 cup of mayonnaise and 1/2 cup of milk together and remove any lumps. Then you can add in your 1 cup of self-rising flour. Stir your batter together well until everything is nice and smooth.

If you don’t have self-rising flour, can you use all-purpose flour instead. Just make sure to add 1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt to your flour before you mix it with your milk and mayonnaise.

Next, you’ll pour your batter into your greased muffin cups.

Place your muffin cups into the oven to bake for about 30 minutes until it comes out golden brown.

Now you can enjoy those wonderfully delicious muffins with butter or make a biscuit sandwich out of them.

If you prefer a video tutorial, you can check out the one below. Mama Boi’s Kitchen’s recipe is just a little bit different when it comes to the amount of ingredients used.

She uses 2 cups of self-rising flour, 1 cup of buttermilk, and 1 tbsp of mayonnaise.

This recipe makes biscuits that are fluffy on the inside and a little crunchy on the outside. She also brushes melted butter on the top of her biscuits for added deliciousness. Check out that video below for details.
