Fonda has proven herself on the camera but little did we know, she is more than just good looks and talent.
She is also a political activist and known for being vocal about her beliefs.
During her 1972 Oscar acceptance speech, Fonda silenced the crowd when she delivered it while using sign language.
In her speech, she said that over 14 million people are deaf and it’s her way of acknowledging them.
Fonda is also a feminist and environmental activist.
She’s an advocate of women’s power and rights. She was also vocal about her beliefs on climate change. Despite all the fame, this woman continues to prove that she’s more than just an actress, she is a brave woman and a symbol of courage.
But did you know that she’s also been writing blogs on her website for the past decade?
People were shocked when they first learned about this, let alone Jade Fonda fans, and you might be wondering about her topics on her blogs.
Well, almost everything under the sun.
By the looks of it, Fonda doesn’t seem to be following a certain pattern about picking the topics for her blogs. Down from squirrels, to politics, and climate change.
On her blog titled Pins and Needles, she wrote about her thoughts on the upcoming election.
She explains in-depth what her thoughts are surrounding the growing tensions in our country, and how, why, and what she believes needs to be addressed to lead us all into a future of prosperity.
It looks like she’s not on anyone’s side, necessarily- she just simply wants what’s best for her country and for its citizens. And don’t we all?
She also writes about – squirrels?
Well, yes she does. When Fonda is not in the mood to write about heavy and sensitive topics, she does write about these tiny squeaky squirrels.
In a blog which she called Build It And They Will Come, Fonda tells everyone that,
“It’s 12:30pm and I’ve already filled the little pot 3 times. Maybe there are a lot of squirrels and I just choose to think it’s one squirrel…my squirrel. A girl squirrel. But if that’s the case she’s on track to become a very plump squirrel. My social media followers tell me squirrels hide and/or bury the nuts. She must do it very fast. I went to the gym to workout, filling the pot right before that. When I came back an hour later the pot was empty. My neighbor, the artist Joan Scheibel, took this picture while I was working out.”
