This Inside-Out Spaghetti Bake Is Delicious And Unique
Putting all the meat on the bottom makes this recipe so much better.

When it comes to simple comfort food, it doesn’t get much easier than a big plate of cheesy, beefy spaghetti. All you have to do is get a package of beef, season it, throw it in a pan and cook it up until it’s nicely browned. Combined with some tomato sauce, cheese and some well-cooked noodles, it’s easy to see why this dish is so popular and so beloved. Still, even the best things in life can get old if they never change.

Fortunately, we have a fun twist on this recipe today that will breathe some new life into your familiar spaghetti recipes. Today, we’re going to make an inside-out spaghetti pie which has all the same flavors you love in a new presentation. Just like normal spaghetti, it’s incredibly easy to make and doesn’t take much time at all. When it’s done, you’ll have a deliciously cheesy casserole that you can eat all week! So let’s get started.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 pound of ground beef
3/4 cup of breadcrumbs
1/3 cup of milk
1 small onion, diced
2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of oregano
1 1/2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons of Parmesan
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups of mozzarella
6 ounces of cooked spaghetti
8 ounces of marinara sauce
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of pepper

Here’s what you do:

1. To get started, make sure to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. With that done, get out a large mixing bowl and combine your ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, Italian seasoning, oregano and Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together well, using your hands as necessary.

2. With the beef mixture ready to go, get out a two to three quart casserole dish and and spray it down with nonstick spray. Next, press your beef mixture into it and up the sides of the dish as well.

3. Once the oven is ready, pop the whole dish in and let it bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Take it out when the time is up and make sure that all the meat is well-browned. In the meantime, cook your spaghetti in a pot of boiling water according to the instructions on the package.

4. When the spaghetti is done, toss it with your beaten eggs, Parmesan, salt and pepper. Next, coat your meat dish with half of your marinara sauce before spreading all your cooked spaghetti on top of that. Add the rest of your marinara and top it all off with mozzarella cheese, popping it back in the oven for another 20 minutes.

5. Take the dish out when the time is up and the cheese on top is bubbly and browned. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving with a side of crusty garlic bread!

As we said at the beginning, this dish still has all the same ingredients that make a typical spaghetti meal great. Still, there’s something about the ingenious presentation of this meal that makes it just a little bit more fun than the spaghetti you’re used to.
