If you’ve ever tried to ice skate you know that it takes quite a great deal of skill, training, and elegance. Many people can never quite get the hang of it. But, for those who do, it’s a sight to watch.
That’s the case when watching professional Elena Radionova.
Radionova is a Russian figure skater who has won several medals for her talent.

She took home the bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships in Shanghai in China and was also the 2015 Russian National Champion.
While many of Radionova’s performances have been special, one, in particular, has turned millions of heads.

In 2016, she took part in All That Skate where she showed off a routine that still has people talking today.
Her routine was a “schoolgirl gone bad” theme. She starts the performance wearing a tan trench coat, red hat, and a schoolgirl backpack. She starts skating to Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It”. She has a pair of oversized headphones over her ears as she bobs from side to side.

She’s pretending to listen to the music through her headphones as she gracefully skates across the stage.
When the school bell rings, things begin to heat up.
She takes off her coat and strikes a pose to reveal her new costume…a white blouse, red tie, and a red plaid skirt to match, with her hair pulled back into a ponytail.

Her new outfit goes with her sassy performance as she makes her way across the ice.

The performance is exciting to watch because it’s refreshing and fun. Some exciting jumps and spins show off Elena’s skill. She certainly shows off why she was crowned the champ!
Throughout the entire performance, Elena is high-energy in every move she makes. She makes everything look so easy when we know that hours of practice went into making this routine flawless.

She’s also sure to constantly make eye contact with the crowd as she moves. The crowd loves it! And so do the more than 26 million people who have watched her performance on YouTube over the past four years. Here are some of the comments.
“The best part about this is that she looks like she’s having so much fun performing.”
“I just started taking ice skating lessons, I was planning to quit since I keep hurting myself in accident but now I wanna keep going because I know at the end it will be worth all the hard work.”
“Looked like she was having fun and I’m here for it.”

Radionova recently announced her retirement from ice skating at the age of 21 on Instagram.
In her post, she said, “I am discovering a new chapter in my life, which will be no less exciting and interesting.” Radionova went on to say she loves her fans and that figure skating will forever be in her heart.
There’s no doubt that her fans love her as well as they continue to watch her stunning performances like the one in this YouTube video.
