You also don’t have to worry about the ingredients because it’s just a matter of pick this and that in your kitchen. Check the things that you need for this recipe on the list below.

  • 7 potatoes (preferably large)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cups of ground beef
  • 1 cup of butter
  • 3/4 cup of flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Red pepper powder
  • Vegetable oil

See? The ingredients aren’t too complicated to collect, are they? Just remember to pick the freshest of the fresh ingredients so you’ll end up achieving the best-tasting output.

Don’t fret because the steps are just as easy as collecting the ingredients.

When we say easy to do, we mean easy to do. Just follow the instructions below and you should be all good.

Step Number One: Peel, wash, and slice (any size) the potatoes. Put them in a cooking pot and add water, the water level must be over the sliced potatoes. Put the lid cover of the cooking pot and bring it to a boil. Wait until they’re all tender.

Step Number Two: While waiting, prepare the filling for the potato pancakes. Mince the onion, melt the butter first in a cooking pan before adding them in. Simmer for a minute or so then add the ground beef. Let it sit in the pan with regular stirring until the ground beef gets partially cooked then add salt, pepper, and red pepper powder. Set aside once beef gets completely cooked.

Step Number Three: Go back to the potatoes and check if they’re already tender. If they are, take them out of the pot and put them in a mixing bowl. Mash them using a handheld masher or any kitchen tool you have available.

Step Number Four: If you’re done mashing the potatoes, add an egg, salt, and pepper – mix thoroughly.

Step Number Five: Time to shape your pancake, sprinkle some flour on your chosen surface/place for the pancake-shaping. This way, the potato mixture will not stick on it and will make the process a lot easier. Just shape them and stuff the beef inside, try to use them all up for more and better servings for later.

Step Number Six: Fry both sides under medium to low fire. Wait until both sides become golden brown in color. Let them cool a bit.
