Wendy’s Frosty’s has always been one of my guilty pleasures growing up. The instant I took my first bite into that smooth, silky, chocolatey deliciousness, I fell in love. Today, I came across this recipe to recreate a Wendy’s Frosty’s right at home. And the best part? It only takes 3 simple ingredients! This way, I won’t have to drive all the way to Wendy’s to satisfy my Frosty’s cravings.
For this recipe, you’ll need an ice cream maker. If you don’t have an ice cream maker yet, this will change your life. You could use it to make different sorbets, ice creams, smoothies, and did I mention Frosty’s? And the best part is, it’s all so simple to make. I bought mine on Amazon from the brand Hamilton Beach for less than $35 and I’ve definitely gotten a good use out of it. Cuisinart and Nostalgia also make an affordable and solid line of ice cream makers.
Here are the 3 ingredients you’ll need:
- A 14-oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- Half a gallon of chocolate milk
- A 8-oz tub of cool whip
Grab a large bowl and pour in the condensed milk, chocolate milk, and cool whip. Whisk together until all of the ingredients are mixed together. Place the mixture into the ice cream maker, and wait for 20~30 minutes, or until you see it turn into the texture of a Frosty’s. And that’s it! You’re done! You have yourself your very own Frosty’s right at home.
Look at that soft, smooth, chocolatey goodness filled with little bits of icy crystals. Doesn’t this simple recipe make you want to try it for yourself? Let us know what you think in the comments below, we’d love to hear from you!
