With summer almost here, you’re probably on the look out for delicious cold desserts you can make for your family and friends. Well, let me just say that today is your lucky day because this recipe from Gemma Stafford is an absolute gem! The best part? This recipe is so simple to make that you’ll be experimenting with different flavors in no time and everyone who tries your sorbet will be begging for more!

What’s so unique about Gemma’s way of making sorbet is the ingredients she uses — fruit and condensed milk. She first starts by suggesting using either a food processor or a blender. Then she puts some frozen raspberries inside the blender. Although she states that you can use fresh fruit, frozen fruit oftentimes results in a better sorbet because of the thicker texture. Next, Gemma adds condensed milk in order to prevent ice crystals from forming and make that rich sorbet texture we all know and love. All that’s left to do? Just blend everything together and then stick it all in the freezer!

In her video, Gemma creates five flavors of sorbet: raspberry, cantaloupe/mint, strawberry/lime, mango/passionfruit, and chocolate/banana. Although you can stick to the flavors that Gemma demonstrated, the fun part of making sorbet is experimenting with all the different flavor combinations. So if you’re in the mood for some delicious and easy to make sorbet, try watching the instructional video below and let us know what you think!
