Some of us would say that high school is one of the best parts of a teenager’s life.
Well, yes, some may disagree, but hey, looking back at all the fun and silly things that we did back then would tickle some unforgettable memories.
And who could forget the school performances that we did before? Those times when everyone on the campus was busy rehearsing their acts and performances? Busy making those props just to make the entire performance catchy, and oftentimes, hilarious.
School activities and talent shows focus on honing the students’ talents.
Though there are those with natural talents that show up at a very young age, there are those with talent that take longer than usual to blossom.
However, there are just those unique performances that will crack us up and make us laugh out loud – like REALLY loud!
What’s more fun than incorporating life-size stretchy bags with a school dance production?
This group of high schoolers did the impossible during their dance number at Beyer High back in 2010. Being ‘ordinary’ didn’t seem to be a part of their vocabulary, that’s why they decided to elevate things 10 levels higher.
They named their dance prod the “Bag Dance”.
Obviously the perfect choice, as all the participants were enveloped by colorful bags from head to toe. You might think that it’d be hard to move inside those bags and that they would most likely choose slow and laid back songs.
Well, you are… absolutely wrong! With that kind of costume, the crew bounced around to party dance songs. The result – absolute hilarity!
The crowd went bananas when they busted it all out to “Can’t Touch This” by MC Hammer.
When this 90s hit started to play, the group all went on to bounce to the iconic ‘Hammer slide.’
It’s not just about the dance for this group. Though they really were amazing at it, there’s something that made their performance more captivating.
The sequences of their routine were made even more appealing by their costumes. Those colorful bags all lively moving on the stage had such a good visual effect on the audience.
Those stretchy costumes made them look like a group of live pillowcases.
They jumped and crunched from here to there, making smooth transitions like professional dancers. Just imagine the sticky and tight feeling inside those bags. It only proves that these guys are really awesome!
You might be wondering if they can see through their outfits.
For me, it’s a “yes!” Simply because they didn’t bump into each other during the entire dance number.
They seemed to know where to go and position themselves for each song. There were parts of their performance where they grouped themselves by color and they did it with ease.
After all, it wouldn’t make sense to dance on a big stage knowing that you can’t see from the inside of those giant bags, right?
It’s definitely a well-choreographed dance.
Wouldn’t you agree? Isn’t it a brilliant idea to dance inside bags.
More than just the dancing, they were also able to create shapes out of it.
It’s such a creative way to produce visually attractive movements while doing proper dance moves.
Now, aside from bouncing colorful pillows on stage, you also see colorful shapes springing around the stage, rolling from here to there, and jumping like there’s no tomorrow- just for the sake of entertainment and, of course, making the viewers happy!
Pulling off such a routine certainly requires talent and a creative mind. No wonder why the audience was heartily laughing and cheering for these talented and clever guys!
