Now that summer is upon us, we’re probably all thinking about ways to stay cool. The classic options are to head to the beach, to take a dive in a swimming pool or just to lounge in a kiddie pool in your backyard. Other times, an ice-cold drink can do the trick on a particularly hot day, whether it’s a can of soda or a cold beer. If you’re throwing a party, though, sometimes you want to go above and beyond to provide a special experience for your party guests.

In those cases, we have the perfect summer drink recipe that will be a hit at any party you’re likely to throw. In keeping with the motif of cooling off on a hot day, we’re showing you how to make a delicious frosé—a frozen rosé wine slushie that is guaranteed to be a hit with your party guests. In addition to cooling you off, it’ll may also give you just a slight buzz as well. So let’s get started.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 bottle of dry rosé
10 ounces of fresh strawberries (and more for garnish)
1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
1/4 cup of vodka
2 tablespoons of grenadine

Here’s what you do:

1. To get started, make sure you have an ice cube tray handy and pour your rosé into it. Carefully put them in the freezer and leave them for eight hours or overnight.

2. Make sure you wash your strawberries and pull the green tops off of them before thinly slicing them up, hopefully yielding about two cups’ worth. Combine the sliced strawberries with your sugar in a blender and process it. Let it sit around at room temperature for around 10 minutes to make sure the berries release their juice and that the sugar incorporates well into the mixture.

3. Once your mix has settled, add in your vodka, grenadine and your frozen rosé ice cubes. With everything combined, blend the entire thing together on high until the texture turns smooth. When it’s all done, pour it into glasses and top it off with a few of those extra strawberries you had from earlier. Enjoy!

Though this recipe works pretty well as it is, feel free to make some adjustments as you see fit. For example, adding some additional raspberries or blueberries to the mix can add some additional flavor to everything. If you want it to be even more refreshing, why not try throwing some fresh mint into the mix as well? Above all, have fun with the recipe and be sure to drink responsibly!
