There’s a good reason why the grocery stores we frequent have a wide assortment of eggs. It’s because not all eggs are the same! While they did come from a chicken, there are different ways to raise a chicken. Depending on that, the egg itself can be different. Reading the carton label isn’t always necessary to determine which egg came from which kind of chicken. It turns out that you can just look at the egg yolk!
In the video below, YouTuber bevyh1 shows an easy way to tell the difference between farm eggs and ones bought at the store. First, she cracks a free-range chicken egg, and the egg yolk is a bright orange color. Then, she cracks a store-bought egg, and the egg is much paler in color. She adds a third egg, one that she got at an Amish store, and it looks drastically different than the free-range one.
At this point, she goes on to say how important it is to eat natural foods. If you don’t believe how free-range chickens can be better, then watch this video. That’s all the proof I needed!
