Say no more. The recipe that the YouTube channel schnell lecker posted a while ago is the response to your questions.
And the best thing of all is that you can probably make it tonight. It requires such basic ingredients that you may not even need to go to the grocery store.
All you’ll need is minced meat, some onions, potatoes, and cheese.
And if you think potatoes are not good for you, then you should know that this is not the case.
Potatoes are rich in vitamin C, while also have “potassium, an electrolyte which aids in the workings of our heart, muscles, and nervous system”.
As for the minced meat you’re going to use, it’s a good source of protein, zinc, vitamins B3 and B12.
So, now that there are no more doubts, let’s get cooking!
For this recipe, you’re going to need:
- 1 kg potatoes (about 2 lbs)
- salt, basil, and paprika to taste
- olive oil
- 1 onion
- 600 gr minced meat (about 1.5 lbs)
- 300 gr cheese (about 10.5 oz)
The recipe requires no other preparation than putting the ingredients together in two different batches, and then combining the two.
So, first, preheat your oven to 180 degrees C (about 350 degrees F).
Peel and slice the potatoes and arrange them in a baking pan. Then add salt, pepper, and paprika to taste.
Cook in the oven for about 20 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the meat.
In a pan, add some olive oil and saute the chopped onion. Then, add the meat and continue cooking for a few minutes, while “breaking” the meat using a spatula.
Season the meat with salt and pepper, and remove from the heat.
Grate the cheese and set it aside for a moment.
When the first twenty minutes have passed, take the potatoes out of the oven, and put the meat “sauce” on top.
Use a spoon or a spatula to make sure the potatoes are covered in meat.
Finally, add the grated cheese on top and arrange it properly using your hands so that the whole thing is covered in cheese. Then, place some thick tomato slices on top.
Bake for another twenty minutes.
