Thankfully, this video shows us a great way to slice and store watermelons. It’s easier and more organized when you place it in containers. The key is slicing them into squares. We’ll walk you through that.

First, hold the watermelon safely and securely, and cut both ends.

This makes sure that your watermelon won’t “dance around” too much. Then, cut the watermelon in half. You can slowly slice halfway through one side, then turn the watermelon slowly – still cutting halfway – until you come full circle and have two halves.

Cut each half into a square by slicing out the rind.

As much as possible, leave as little rind behind and just leaving the watermelon flesh. There will be some rinds left on the edges, so slice them out, too. Don’t worry about all the watermelon taken out with the rind. Set it aside for later.

Slice the watermelon square into the size of the container you’re placing it in.

You can estimate its measurement by sizing up the thickness of the container and slicing a watermelon a bit smaller than that. This is to make sure that the watermelon sizes would fit well, and you can still cover the container even if it’s full.

Continue slicing the watermelon into bite-sized pieces.

This is a great way to slice them because it fits well with whenever you need a watermelon. You can snack on them as it is, or you can make a watermelon shake for when the weather is extra hot. These sizes fit in blenders; you just place them in and add your remaining ingredients.

Place them in an airtight container and store them in the fridge.

Place the leftover watermelon into the blender while leaving a few pieces aside. Blend well. You can add other ingredients that you like, but the watermelon juice itself is good enough.

Get a glass with enough ice.

Pour the blended watermelon until ¾ the glass. Slice the remaining slices into small watermelon cubes and place them on top of your drink. You can place some mint to add a little kick to your drink.
