There’s nothing a parent wouldn’t do to make their child happy, even if that means they have to be a ballerina for a day.
Parenthood doesn’t just revolve around doing household chores, it’s more of making a child grow and providing them every day with proper guidance.
More than just financial support, there are other aspects of parenting that are more important than the value of money.
Sometimes, what a child really needs are the unforgettable memories they get to share with their parents.
In this funny video, four dads graced the stage during the Wyckoff Dad’s Night back in 2011 and made everyone watching laugh out loud.
Though it may turn out a bit embarrassing once their children grow older, for now, what we know is they’re downright hilarious.
It’s an unforgettable moment that’s already been immortalized by the internet.
They performed the most popular ballet piece of all time- ‘Swan Lake.’
The four dads are in their best ballerina outfits, white headbands, white tank tops, white ballerina skirts, and of course, long white socks. They are clearly there for one reason and one good reason alone – to entertain everyone.
Ballet dance is all about grace and beauty, but these dads might have changed that, well probably just on that day.
These lovely dads are performing at Lincoln Elementary School’s Wyckoff Dad’s Night, in Wyckoff, New Jersey. This event became so popular that it even acquired its own website to announce their past and future activities.
More than just performing, the organizers of the event know it’s far beyond just that.
“You can only imagine the delight in your child’s eyes when you walk out on stage. To them, you become a super hero. You can do no wrong. If you want your child talking about you for the next 6 months, get up on stage and have some fun.”
It couldn’t get more accurate than that, in the children’s eyes, their parents are their superheroes, someone they look up to and want to become when they grow up. The impact a parent can have on a child’s life goes beyond the four corners of their home.
These dads teach us how important bonding with kids is.
They fearlessly turn themselves into some masculine ballerinas making their children proud and blushing in shame at the same time.
They start by tip-toeing towards the center of the stage and right there, the crowd already showers them with loud cheers and waves of laughter. They are also holding their heads high and stomachs in, you can tell these dads are already in-character.
As soon as the music starts, these brave dads also begin bouncing to the majestic ballerina piece. Wearing their poker faces, each of them holds the hand of the other and tip-toes from left to right and vice versa.
While they are dancing, the audience can’t help but crack out some hearty laughs.
Talking about synchronization?
Well, to be honest, they don’t have it yet but they sure will work things out from there, and I guess many wouldn’t mind that anymore.
What matters most is they were able to entertain the audience and those who have watched the video of their performance online.
That’s the beauty of “entertainment”, it doesn’t have to be perfect or beautiful. Entertainment serves its sole purpose and that is to entertain people.
After all, these are 4 dads trying to make their kids proud and of course, laugh at the same time.
I would personally do the same for my kid. These dads are definitely so proud of their kids but little do they know, their children are as equally-honored to have them as their dads.
