This famous quote about parenting was put to a test by a toddler who refused to walk. And the way dad dealt with it has millions of people giggling!
Parenting is not easy and, actually, it will never be. No one would ever dare contest this, not even me.
Parents of a toddler will tell you the same thing. All the horrors of diaper changing, making them swallow their awful-tasting vitamins, convincing them to eat veggies, cleaning their play place, and a whole bunch more.
As kids grow, they eventually learn the art of being stubborn and the pleasure of saying “NO”, which oftentimes, drives the parents crazy.
Sometimes, when things get out of control, you just have to take matters into your own hands – literally.
In a funny video, a 2-year-old girl decided that she’s not walking into their house.
Dad, on the other hand, knew that no level of convincing would make her get the job done.
As the video’s description says, the acting-up toddler was picked up by dad on his way home from work. The funny little girl’s name is Juliette and she’s decided to call it a day.
She’s not in the mood to do a little more walking – she’d already had enough that day.
So, out of the car, down she goes on the ground.
She is actually flat on her back while dad is busy unloading the groceries out of the car.
This little girl simply isn’t giving dad a break from a tiring day at work and after doing the grocery thing.
This toddler was described by her mom as “…a little girl who loves to laugh and make others laugh” is definitely living up to that description. She is just having the time of her life laying there and staring at the skies.
When dad is finally done unloading the groceries, he needs to overcome another hurdle- his daughter.
We don’t know how the day has been for dad, and if he is in the mood to deal with his toddler’s drama that day.
Is he going to beg and convince Juliette to walk into their house? Is he going to attempt the usual scare tactics just to make her walk? Is he going to ignore her and just walk home with hopes that she’ll eventually follow after?
Or is he going to man-up and use brute strength to put his toddler’s tantrum to an end?
Surprisingly, dad chose the last option- but how he did it is even more surprising!
With all the stuff in his right hand, just like an ordinary grocery bag, he grabs Juliette’s jacket using his left hand and literally picks her up.
Looks like dad is not buying any of her drama this time.
Dad then heads home. With a poker face, he transports the silly toddler like a parcel. It’s like he is saying “by hook or by crook, you’re going inside the house!”
Funny because it looks like it was all part of her plan!
We’re not even sure if she’s just acting up or if everything was just part of her genius plan.
What we know is that since she didn’t resist being picked up by dad, then it could possibly mean that she already saw it coming.
She knew what dad would do, or maybe it has always been that way at home, what do you think?
Either way, everything turned out to be incredibly funny. No wonder why their video earned more than 3.3 million views online.
