Surprise pregnancy reveal videos online are always fun to watch, you’ll get to see how a new family member can tremendously change people’s lives. But more than just a trend over the internet, these videos have captured the best of the best reactions, some are heartwarming, while some are just naturally funny.
Oftentimes, the ones who usually get surprised are dads and grandparents, but isn’t it so that surprises are best done on kids? They have the purest reactions ever, however- there are always two sides of the same coin, right?
We have stumbled upon a Facebook video of a dad named Ryan Finlay, he is happily married to Candice Finlay and they have 5 beautiful children.
In the video, he plans to tell their children they’re expecting a new baby.
However, he did it creatively, and we’re all glad he did.
He sits all five of them down on the couch
There are 3 young boys and 2 little girls in total, the size of the couch is tailor-fit to the kids, and it doesn’t get any better than that. Dad arranges the siblings from the youngest to the oldest. The kids, camera, mom, and dad, are ready, it’s then time to play a game.
Try not to laugh
Ryan cleverly tells the kids they are doing a video while playing “try not to laugh” so that none of them will suspiciously think of it as something else. To make things more interesting, he then tells them whoever gets to grab a hold of their laughter the longest will get a $5.00 prize.
He then starts to dish out some jokes, such as stories about cleaning the cat’s poop using a fork, cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush because the toilet brush has been misplaced, and even a joke pregnancy announcement about their cat named Tiger.
So far – so good
Everyone seems to be doing an exceptional job of holding off their smiles, giggles, chuckles, and laughter, the youngest doesn’t even seem to know what’s going on.
The kid in the middle even employs a little anti-laughter technique- he holds onto his nose and looks downwards just to go through the jokes, and the rest of the kids are having occasional smiles from here and there.
Ryan continues with his jokes and says…
“We’re gonna have another baby.”
Nobody seems to buy it, these kids are on a different competitive level and thought that dad’s still joking. Dad jumps into another joke and moves on, making the pregnancy announcement pass like it’s an actual joke.
Then he goes back saying…
“I’m serious, we’re gonna have a baby. You’re going to have another little sister or a little brother.”
Still, the kids are into the game treating whatever dad says like a joke.
That’s until mom lets out some giggles then dad follows it through, “I’m dead serious.”
Everyone then cracks up but still unaware dad’s telling them the truth about mom’s pregnancy. We can hear mom in the background saying,
“He’s telling the truth.”
Then there goes the excitement from the 5 unsuspecting kids.
While the middle child and the two little girls are happy and excited about the news, the other two older brothers start to tear up, they seem to be overwhelmed by their mom’s pregnancy.
The rest of the video is all about the baby’s gender
Usually, the boys would wish for another boy and the girls would want another girl. One of the kids even say that it’s going to be a girl to even things out, they’ll be 3 boys and 3 girls by then. But as the voting ends, it’s 4 to 1, in favor of a baby girl.
It’s such a delight to see these youngsters’ happiness and excitement after knowing that there’s going to be a new member of their family. This time, we got all the positive reactions from these kids.
As we scroll through Ryan and Candice’s Facebook profiles, it turns out that it’s a girl!
Her name is Eva! She came out weighing 7 lbs and 1 oz, and 20 inches long.
As Candice described their new baby, “She beautiful and perfect!”
Well, the majority of the kids guessed it right, it’s now a tie, 3 girls and 3 boys!
