Here at Shareably we are all about finding easy recipes that are going to get you through the long winter months. Nothing makes the cold more bearable than coming home to a kitchen that’s wafting with the warm, delicious aromas of a filling, ready-to-eat meal. One of those easy, time-saving recipes is this beef stroganoff.
This dish is without a doubt going to become a staple on your list of go-to comfort foods.
Ingredients:
- 1-1.5 lbs. of beef stew meat
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. black pepper
- 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1.5 c. beef broth
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. water
- 12 oz. of frozen corn kernels (or any frozen veggie of your choice)
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. water
- 1.5 c. sour cream
- 1 lb. egg noodles
You’re going to want to spray your crock-pot with a cooking spray. If you have a liner, just use that.
Place the beef in the bottom of the crock-pot and sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Then, layer the diced onions on top of that.
Next, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, 1 tbsp. of water, ketchup, and garlic powder. Mix all of these ingredients together quickly with a fork. Then, pour them on top of the onions.
Cover the crock-pot and set it to low for 6-8 hours.
Once the meat is fully cooked, set the crock-pot to high and add in the frozen vegetable of your choice.
In another cup, add cold water to your flour and mix them together well. Once you have the egg noodles cooking, add the flour mixture to the crock-pot. When the egg noodles are done, you’ll be ready to turn off the crock-pot and add the sour cream.
Mix well and then add the noodles right when you are ready to serve.
That’s it! With prep as easy as that, you’ll have a delicious winter meal ready to go in no time.
