Smokin’ & Grillin’ wit AB is a YouTube channel owned by a California man, who loves to cook and share his recipes with the world.
According to his website, his mission is to simplify cooking and “take the mystery out” of it. In other words, he clearly explains all the steps in his recipes in order to make sure anyone can follow them and prepare delicious meals.
Even now, during the pandemic, he doesn’t stop. He’s still working hard to produce useful cooking videos for his subscribers. In his arsenal of recipes, one can find crockpot recipes, sandwiches and grilling tips, as well as tasty desserts.
In the video below, the man behind Smokin’ & Grillin’ wit AB, makes a super easy recipe with ingredients that more or less everyone has at home. The only “fancy” piece of equipment he uses is the crockpot.
AB first explains that crockpot liners are very practical to use before every meal preparation in the crockpot. As he says, they’re great when it comes to cleaning- and a man definitely appreciates having to wash fewer dishes.
So, to begin with, AB numbers the ingredients he will be using for the recipe. Then he goes on to put all of them in the crockpot, while at the same time, he explains that he is going to make an easy potato soup that will have tons of flavor.
In fact, it won’t be a plain potato soup, but a loaded one, which makes the video even more interesting to the average viewer.
After all, who doesn’t love a good old jacket potato? Even in its liquid shape.
When AB is done putting all the ingredients in the pot, he then sets the heat and the timer and lets the contents of the crockpot cook for three hours. Apparently, he knows what he’s doing.
Every now and then, he interrupts the cooking and stirs so that the soup doesn’t burn.
Now, let’s take a look at the ingredients you will need to make the recipe.
Ingredients:
4 cups of Chicken Broth
1 bag of frozen cubed hash browns (32 oz)
1 can of cream of chicken soup, condensed (10.5)
1 Cream cheese, softened, (8 oz)
1 cup crispy bacon bits, 1/2 cup is for garnish
2 cups Sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup is for garnish
1 tsp Dried rosemary
Salt and Pepper to taste
1/2 cup Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
The execution of the recipe couldn’t be easier. You simply dump all of the ingredients -except for the green onion-in your crock pot. Set the temperature at high heat, and the timer at three hours.
Occasionally, lift the lid and stir just to make sure all the ingredients are well combined. When you do that, you can also taste the soup to make sure it’s properly seasoned. Add salt or pepper if you feel it needs to be corrected.
When your loaded potato soup is ready, serve in small bowls and garnish with the green onions- finely chopped-, some bacon and some shredded cheese.
Your hearty soup is ready! Now, to make sure it’s tasty- which is a common secret- give it a try!
After watching this video, we kind of are hungry now. Shall we go make us some comfort soup?
