Coconut is something not all people love. Some people love the taste of coconut, but not its texture.

You’ll see an entire thread on the subreddit (r/DoesAnybodyElse) with their hate for anything with coconut.

But don’t be disheartened.

We’re sure this treat will change your mind.

The combination of all the ingredients will give your mouth a pleasurable experience. It’s chewy, smooth, and with a bit of crunch.

And the best thing about it? You only need three ingredients. Ready to make them?

Here are the ingredients:

  • 3 ¼ cups desiccated coconut
  • 1 can (13.93 oz.) condensed milk
  • ¼ cup of almonds

Ste 1:

Place 2 ¾ cups of desiccated coconut into a bowl.

Pour in the condensed milk and mix well using a spatula until the coconut is evenly distributed with no think lumps gathered in just one area.

Once done, cover in cloth and let it rest for around ten minutes.

Step 2:

Place the almonds into a pot or saucepan.

Pour water until all the nuts are submerged in water. Cook and boil in high heat for five minutes.

Step 3:

After that, drain the water out using a strainer.

Let cold water run through the nuts, still in the strainer. You can blot the almonds dry using a paper towel to make sure they’re dry.

Step 4:

Slowly squeeze the almond to remove its skin. Do this to each of the almonds.

Step 5:

Scoop a teaspoon or so of the mix and roll it into a ball. Then, gently press the middle using your index finger to make room for the almond.

Step 6:

Place one almond in the middle of your mix.

Cover the almond with the coconut and milk mix and roll it back into a ball.

You can scoop a bit more of the coconut mix if it’s not enough to cover the entire almond nut.

Step 7:

In a separate bowl, pour half a cup of desiccated coconut.

Roll the almond balls and coat them with the desiccated coconut. You can chill it for a few minutes or eat it right away. It’s easy, simple, and very flexible, too.

You can go for a vegan alternative by using sweetened condensed coconut milk.

You can use other nuts, too.

Others also opted to use cashew, walnuts, or pecans. They crushed or chopped them and mixed the nuts with the coconut and milk mixture instead of wrapping it whole.

She said she’d most likely add a bit of vanilla extract or seed to introduce a different taste and aroma to the mix.

She also suggested doing something like the Swedish Chocolate Balls.

It’s called Kokosbollar or Chokladbollar, and it uses cocoa and oatmeal coated with desiccated coconut. It’s almost the same but more chocolatey than this.
