Thankfully, there’s the internet and social media. These platforms have been, somehow, delivering good vibes and positivity with just a tap of our fingertips.

Curtis Rogers is a 7-year-old kid from Raleigh, North Carolina. He is definitely too young to attend prom, but he has proven enough that he deserves to be the prom KING.

Rachel Chapman is 17 years old and she had been babysitting Curtis for almost a year before the novel coronavirus made its worldwide debut with the outbreak.

Her tasks include picking up Curtis from school, taking him to his piano lessons, and helping him with his homework.

She is doing all this while being a senior student at Sanderson High School.

With that short amount of time, she has shown nothing but love for her job, that’s why in return, Rachel had become a dear member of the Rogers family.

The COVID19 locked people down in their homes, temporarily shutdown certain establishments, and closed schools.

Also, because of the pandemic, Curtis and Rachel were not able to see each other for two months.

Not only that, adding to Rachel’s temporary separation from Curtis and the Rogers family is the sudden cancellation of her senior prom and commencement ceremony.

It’s indeed a double whammy for her and we can only imagine the heartbreak that she’s feeling because of the bad news.

Lift your head, Rachel. Here comes your hero.

Soon enough, Curtis learned about the sad cancellation of Rachel’s prom. He didn’t let his babysitter down and did the necessary.

He insisted that her prom should push through, so he arranged a “mini-prom” for his beloved babysitter in his backyard.

The kind-hearted little boy pulled out some gimmicks to make it as realistic as possible. He used a giant “promposal” to cordially invite Rachel to be his prom date.

And the magical day finally happened!

On the day of the most-awaited mini-prom, Curtis donned a purple suit to match Rachel’s prom dress. The dapper young boy arranged a fancy dinner table situated in their backyard.

The table was filled with all their favorite food from Chick-Fil-A.

They toasted to the success of the mini-event and right after that, they did what is usually done during a prom – they danced.

Still, they had a 6-feet distance between each other to maintain social distancing. It’s a sweet moment that both of them will always remember as they grow older.

A beautiful moment amid the pandemic that they will never forget for the rest of their lives!

“I was so surprised,” Rachel told Good Morning America (GMA). “I had no idea he was going to go all out. It was very thoughtful and sweet.”

Of course, Curtis had his own sound reasoning for throwing the special event…

“I planned it out because Rachel probably just wanted to see me a lot and she also is one of the best people I’ve known,” Curtis told WTVD. “Rachel is one of our favorite people and Rachel’s like the best nanny ever.”

The online viewers are also amazed by the sweet moment.

“He is adorable. Curtis is as smooth as a single malt scotch. God Bless them both,” said one person.

Others just couldn’t get over how precious the moment was.

“The sweetest thing EVER. Love IT :)”

“Omg he’s so freaking adorable!”
