Go grab your apron and prepare that sweet tooth.

It’s time to make some of Mom’s famous banana cream cheesecake bars!

But first, you’re going to need some important ingredients, including:

  • Vanilla wafer crumbs – an 11-ounce box of Nilla Wafers is recommended
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Cream cheese – three packages of eight ounces each are recommended
  • Banana cream pudding mix – 3.4-ounce instant pudding packages are recommended

Now, let’s get to it.

Start by crushing some vanilla wafers. You’ll need a good amount of crushed cookies to soon mix with melted butter.

Add the mixture to an oven-friendly pan lined with parchment paper. The paper allows for easy transfer after the cheesecake’s been cooled.

Preferably in a mixing bowl, combine the whipping cream and sugar by beating. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese smooth, then slowly add the pudding mix. The thick product may require electric mixing.

When ready, add the whipped cream and mix some more!

Now, spread this mixture atop the vanilla wafer crust in the pan.

Things are starting to take shape.

Why am I so hungry all of a sudden?

Time for some patience.

Throw the cheesecake in the refrigerator overnight or for around 8 hours.

Chilling enhances the mixture of the flavors and softens the crust.

When you’re ready, lift the cake out of the pan via the parchment paper. Hopefully, it slides out with no problem.

Wow, now look at that.

Well, it’s hard to eat an entire cake in one sitting, so let’s slice it into separate pieces. With a suitable knife, cut yourself some slices, big or small.

There’s more than enough to go around!

Savor the taste of these delicious pieces of cheesecake. All that patience has finally paid off and more!

I mean, just take a look at those delectable squares…

They’re the crème de la crème, if you will.

I’m literally still salivating.

Let’s take a closer look…

Yup, still mouth-watering. Maybe even more so.

Feel free to top the bars in whatever way you see fit. Here, whipped cream and a banana slice add the proverbial cherry on top.

Oh, and shoutout bananas.

They’re a rather unusual fruit, but they’re incredibly flexible and pretty portable in a pinch given their peelable exterior – a traveling case of sorts.

Plus, they’re high in manganese, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6!

So grab a fork, kick back, and chow down! Feel free to eat multiple slices. Or simply save them for a picnic (or a rainy day).

Your friends will absolutely love them, and they’ll be a huge hit at parties.

Let the banana bonanza begin!

Try not to eat too many! The more you eat now the less you’ll have later, obviously.

Some desserts require the utmost degree of patience.

So what’s your favorite dessert? If you’ve already tried the recipe, what’d you think?

Again, this isn’t your grandma’s banana bread! In fact, it’s Mom’s “famous” banana cream cheesecake. This Mom’s name happens to be Jill, and she’s a mother of three lovely growing boys.

And no disrespect to Grandma, because her banana bread is excellent, too!

Thanks a bunch, Jill. Bon appétit!
