Parents always take the liberty of doing almost everything to their children. They just do it out of curiosity, but sometimes, out of their brilliant minds.

This dad seems to have a lot of leisure time. Watch what he was able to accomplish after a year of babysitting his son.

It took him a year, a baby, and a meticulous mind to come up with this masterpiece!

Dad compiled clips of baby Ryan’s sound, talk, noises, and waves of laughter, and he came up with the clever idea of making it sound like AC/DC‘s classic rock song, “Thunderstruck“.

A little glimpse back to the rock band

AC/DC is a rock band that was formed in Sydney, Australia back in the year 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young.

The band has also sold more than 200 million records worldwide.

Their total sales include 71.5 million albums sold in the United States, which also makes them the 10th highest-selling artist in the United States and the 14th best-selling artist worldwide!

Wikipedia also wrote something about how the Young brothers ended up naming their rock band, “AC/DC”.

“Malcolm and Angus Young developed the idea for the band’s name after their sister, Margaret Young, saw the initials “AC/DC” on a sewing machine. “AC/DC” is an abbreviation meaning “alternating current/direct current” electricity. The brothers felt that this name symbolized the band’s raw energy, power-driven performances of their music. “

The rock song “Thunderstruck” was the lead single on their 1990 album, “The Razors Edge”.

The song was released as a single in Germany, Australia, and Japan, and became a success as it peaked at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks.

Also, back in 2010, “Thunderstruck” topped Triple M’s Ultimate 500 Rock Countdown in Melbourne, Australia. In fact, the top five were all AC/DC songs.

How did Matt do it?

“It took forever,” is how he describes it.

He uploaded another video giving a quick narration about how he did it. According to him, he spent a year recording clips of all sorts of sounds that his baby Ryan makes and compiled it all into his computer for editing.

Wow! A year? Seriously?

After going through all the clips, he noticed that most of them make the same musical note.

After trimming them all down, he ended up with 21 notes in total.

He said that it’s been a while since he studied music so he needed to figure out the notes from “Thunderstruck”.

A part of the video even shows some 1993 Looney Tunes notepads, some cute sheets that he’s hung onto for 26 years.

Finally, he edited each of his son’s clips and ta-dah!

With added visual editing, he made a piece of rock music out of his infant just like that!

Here’s how he explained each of baby Ryan’s noises and their corresponding instrument sounds.

  • Sneeze = Cymbals
  • Sofa hit = Base drum
  • Floor hit = Snare drum
