We’ve all been there. You put things away in your kitchen cabinet, but can’t find them because they’re stored in the back. You literally have to take everything out just to get to the one thing that you need.

Well, those days are over.

Finding items in your kitchen cabinet is about to get easy with this cool hack.

Ana White shared her little trick on YouTube. In just over a month, more than 300,000 people have watched it and maybe even tried it.

The best part is that it only costs about $10.

It does take some work, so get ready. But, the directions are easy to follow and the result will make life a lot easier so it will be all worth it.

First, you need to get your tools ready. You’ll need a circular saw, power drill, a 22-inch euro draw slide, a tape measurer, and a 2-foot level, and maybe some shim material if you have face frame cabinets.

Start by thinking about what cabinet you’re going to convert.

Some shelves can just be pulled out, others have to be unscrewed.

If you have a face frame cabinet, you’re going need the shims.

Start by measuring the distance between the cabinet wall and the frame. The shims will make up the space between the face frame and the wall.

Add the shim with screws. Be sure the screws are smaller than the cabinet wall and shim material when you stack them. Also, check that they’re level. If not, this is not going to work.

Measure the width of the cabinet opening and the shelf.

The next part can get a little tricky. If you don’t do it right, this hack could be an epic fail.

The shelf needs to be small enough to roll out of the cabinet door. This means it needs to be cut so that it’s a little smaller than the size of the cabinet opening.

Measure the shelf and saw the width so that it’s a little smaller than the cabinet opening when you attach the sliders. Slider wheels typically add about an inch to the width of the shelf when it’s attached. Be sure to take this into account.

Next, decide where you want the shelf to be.

You can choose the shims or the cabinet wall if you aren’t using shims. Use a level so everything is straight.

Now you want to screw the drawer members on the sides of the width of the shelf. Once you’ve done this, attach the wall members of the slides to the cabinet walls or shims. Be sure the wheels are facing down. Screw into the marks you made with the level.

You’re almost done!

The only thing left to do is to put the shelf’s drawer members into the wall members. The shelf should slide right in.

If you want to get fancy, you can use the piece of wood you saw off to stop items from falling off as you roll the shelf out.

You can do this by just holding the end of the shelf over the wood and then screwing it into the wood to make a lip. If you don’t want to do this, don’t worry. This is optional.

The most important part of this project is to measure correctly and cut straight.
