“Every artist was first an amateur.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Talent can either be natural or learned, do you agree? It can also be found in all places, from both genders, and all ages.
All types of talents are entertaining, not all though can make the audience boisterous.
Oftentimes, school talent shows are filled with numerous acts from talented students and even the enthusiasts, who are trying to show the raw talent in them. It’s one of the milestones in a young one’s life that shouldn’t be missed.
If you think that school talent shows are boring, this performance, in particular, will prove you wrong!
Are you as talented as these two 5th graders?
Part dance, part puppet-show, part clowning, they were in some baby onesies during their performance.
Their puppet-like bodies weren’t too awkward to watch, even though their arms were twice the size of their foot-long legs.
And look at that large inexpensive box behind, hiding their bodies, looks like they ran out of time and budget, perhaps?
All these imperfections only made their stint even more hilarious than what it’s supposed to be.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, there were very thin strings attached from their elbows down to their “toes”, to make them move along with their broad arm movements.
See? They didn’t need a well-budgeted production team to do all that.
They adorably executed their comic dancing to a music mashup!
They started their performance with some Kung Fu poses to Carl Douglas’ “Kung Fu Fighting”.
They karate chopped each other’s fake bellies and, pretty soon, the place was filled with waves of laughter.
It can’t be helped, just look at their facial expressions!
Their silliness didn’t stop when the music jumped to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy”! They’re just flapping their bodies all over the place while bouncing to the lively music. Who wouldn’t love this act?
They also busted it all out to Gangnam Style.
Why not? They both have that Gangnam moves from Psy’s 2012 hit music.
Who would dare deny the privilege to dance to this funky music in front of a crowd?
After all, the music video of this Korean megahit song has been already been watched for over 3.7 billion times on YouTube?
Their puppet costumes really earned the hardest hits- especially their tiny legs bouncing like jellies!
Now put your hands up for Queen ‘B’!
The two young girls knew how to flaunt some sassy movements to Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies’. Even without practice, this all-female dance routine has already been imprinted in our minds, wouldn’t you agree?
Apart from their funny dance number, are you hearing something else from the background? Yes, the hearty laughs of the people watching, these two 5th graders’ humor obviously radiated all over the place.
Wait, why are they putting their sunglasses on?
It’s because Soulja Boy’s “Tell’em – Crank That” was next on the tracks. You know the one: YYYOOOOOUUUUUUU!
These girls got the right swag and style!
They surely cranked up to Soulja’s award-winning song back in 2007. And hey, look at how suavely they gave that shoulder-dirt a light shove away.
When the most-awaited big “YOOOUUUU” came in, the girls then swung their whole “bodies”, from side-to-side. They really showcased the full potential of their setup for such a fun performance idea.
“All I Do Is Win” is just the best song to end their performance!
Though we can’t tell if it’s a competition or not, the girls were able to pick the right song ender. When such big names like DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Rick Ross, T-Pain, and Snoop Dogg are playing, then you’ve got to rise to the occasion.
So did these girls! All the money tossing, hand-raising, hips and hops, all were on point for the purpose of entertaining all the people watching them on stage, and also for the grades, of course.
We’ve never heard such lively cheers for a school activity showcasing two adorably funny girls!
Do you think you can do better than a 5th grader?
