In the middle of summer, few things are as satisfying as an ice-cold popsicle on a particularly hot day. After burgers and hot dogs, we’re usually craving something a little less hot and a little less filling. When it’s way too hot, a full serving of ice cream or pie might be out of the question, after all. Sometimes a popsicle as simple as a Flavorice tube will do the trick. On other days, you want something with a little bit of chocolate as well. But if you’re completely bored with all your popsicle options, sometimes it pays to take matters into your own hands.

Today, we’re going to show you how to make your own delicious and fruit popsicles right at home—but that’s not all. Because variety is the spice of life, we’re also going to give you five different popsicle options to choose from. With these recipes, your backyard is sure to be the most popular all summer. So let’s get started.

1. Strawberry Mango:

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 12-15 fresh strawberries
  • 2 mangos

Here’s what you do:

1. To start, prepare your mango by peeling it, pitting it and chopping it into rough chunks. Throw these chunks into a food processor and blend them until they’re smooth. Set them aside and do the same with your strawberries.

2. Take out your popsicle mold and fill each one a third of the way up with mango puree before following that with a third of strawberry puree. Top it off with a final third of mango puree and repeat this process until your tray is entirely full.

3. Fudgesicles

  • Here’s what you’ll need:
  • 4 ounces of chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 3/4 cup of heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla

Here’s what you do:

1. First, take your chopped chocolate and put it in a heatproof bowl. Next, get a saucepan going over medium heat and add your heavy cream, milk and cocoa powder. Whisk it up so the cocoa dissolves and let it all come to a simmer. After that, take it off the heat and pour it over your chopped chocolate.
