Recipes using Slow Cookers will amaze you.
This dump-and-go style of cooking may not be “traditional”, but once you try it, you’ll really want to have more.
These meals are packed with flavor.
Just trust Julia Pacheco, whose Youtube videos are making a buzz online as she uses slow cookers to prepare meals for the family.
This video features six recipes, all of them drool-worthy and delicious.
The Barbeque Chicken Sandwich.
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup of barbeque sauce
- 1/3 cup of Italian dressing
Cook on low for 6 hours.
While it’s cooking, you can prepare your own coleslaw if you don’t have ready-made, depending on your preference.
Once the chicken is done, shred it into pieces with a fork or an electric hand mixer before serving it on a burger bun.
Next up, spaghetti.
- 1lb Italian sausages or 1lb ground beef
- 1 can tomato sauce + 1 can crushed tomatoes
- Brown sugar and bay leaves
Stir fry your meat until it’s brown and remove excess oil, then place them into the slow cooker.
Add tomato sauce followed by crushed tomatoes, brown sugar to taste, and 1 – 2 bay leaves.
To add more flavor, season with cinnamon, oregano, onion, and garlic.
Slow-cook it for 7 to 8 hours.
When it’s almost done, prepare the spaghetti noodles according to the bag instructions. Prepare on a plate with the spaghetti sauce and serve.
You can always add your preferred side dishes.
Classic Chicken and Gravy

- 1 can cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup
- Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning and Brown Gravy packet
Add two large chicken breasts to slow cooker followed by soup. Add ranch seasoning and brown gravy mix.
Slow cook for about 6 hours.
Once done, shred the chicken with two forks before serving.
In the video, Julia used mashed potatoes and steamed peas to partner with.
Pineapple Barbeque Chicken
- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 can crushed pineapple
- 1/2 – 1 cup BBQ sauce
Add chicken, pineapple, and bbq sauce to slow cooker. Cook on low for 6 hours.
Once done, shred the chicken before serving. Julia served this with rice and some steamed broccoli on the side.
Festive Creamy Chicken Tacos
- 2 large chicken breasts
- Salsa
- Cream cheese
Add chicken breasts, salsa, and cream cheese. Cook on low for 6 hours.
Once done, shred the chicken to incorporate it with the melted cream cheese.
You can always add tomatoes, and some more cheese according to your preference before serving.
Cheesy Lasagna
The last meal for this video is the cheese lasagna which is a meatless recipe, but you can always add cooked sausage or beef to the layers if you prefer.
Julia is making 3 layers of lasagna and each layer will have 1 and 1/2 cups of marinara sauce.
Each layer should also have ricotta cheese, seasoned with onion, garlic, and oregano. Then add parmesan cheese (optional).
Slow cook for 4 to 5 hours. Just before it’s finished, check the sides because we don’t want to burn them.
Once cooked, you can then serve and enjoy it with the rest of your family.
You can either serve it with or without side dishes according to your own preference.
