You also need to prepare 1/2 cup (40g) of melted butter, 1 cup (240ml) of cream, whisking materials, a hand blender, and a pie tray.

First, prepare the crust.

Separate the two halves of the cookie sandwich. Using a knife, scrape off the cream filling. Don’t worry, we won’t throw these away.

Set them aside in a large bowl. You can also use a butter knife or a spoon for this task to lessen the risk of cuts or injuries.

Next, crush and grind the cookies.

Put the cookies into a large freezer bag. Then, using a rolling pin, you can pound the cookies in the bag to break them down into smaller crumbs.

Then, using the rolling pin, grind the crumbled cookies into smaller and finer granules. Set them aside.

In a small saucepan or frying pan, melt your butter on low heat.

To keep it from burning, once you see the butter melting, remove the pan and swirl the butter around until it melts. You want a yellow syrup, not a brown one.

Combine melted butter with cookie crumbs.

To make this step easier you can just pour the butter into the freezer bag. Massage the bag until the ingredients are well-combined.

The crumbs should clump up a bit so make sure you can spread out the butter thoroughly. Now that the crust is done, let’s move to the cream.

We’ll use cookie filling.

In a large bowl where you set the cookie filling aside, add 1 cup of cream. Break up the cookie filling with a whisk so it can combine easily with the mixture.

Whip it. Whip it good.

Then, using a hand blender or mixer, whip the cream until it forms stiff peaks.

In your pie tray, use 2/3 of your crust to line the bottom.

Fold your whipped cream over the crust and spread it out gently and evenly. Use the remaining crust to cover the top of the pie.

Freeze for 3-4 hours.

Meanwhile, you can do other chores or other dishes, knowing full well that you will serve a great dessert to your guests.
