People go to a lot of effort to make their wedding days perfect. They spend time picking out the color and flavor and decor of a cake so it can be photo-worthy at their receptions.

1. Well, they asked for a disaster
They wanted an epic scene. They got an epically bad one.
There’s every reason to be suspicious when your baker won’t send you a photo in advance.

The cake they ordered from the professional bakery looked beautiful. The cake that was delivered by that same bakery was…not so much.

All we know is that the OP wasn’t sure if it was the groom’s cake or not: “It was a picture sent to me from someone at the wedding, which I was told was super punk. So I’m not sure if it was the main cake or not. I love the idea of not having traditional cakes.”

We’re not sure where it all went wrong, but this is one reason not to trust your special occasion cake to the supermarket bakery.
Weddings are about celebrating that magical day. The excessive drinking comes later.
11. Not quite traditional
This cake didn’t quite have an aesthetic appeal. At least it tasted good according to guests.
Is it modern art? Is it a cake? Is it a pile of bakery leftovers? You decide.
(Frankly, we kind of love it.)

This cake topper could work if he were actually marrying a sumo wrestler. However, his soon-to-be wife is neither male nor a sumo wrestler.

Is it chocolate? Is it dirt? Is it something worse? We’ll never know.
What we do know is that it’s hideous.
16. Wedding or 10th birthday?
They claim this is a wedding cake. We think they may have received the wrong cake.
Don’t you just hate when you order one thing but something else arrives? This was the gold cake they ordered.
Well, if this is the way you want to celebrate your special day, who are we to stop you from realizing your dreams? Even if they look like a nightmare.
The bride’s mom made the wedding cake. She might have actually thought she was being subtle about wanting grandbabies. Seriously disturbing on so many levels.

We have to give the cake creator some credit. At least the whole thing looks edible, technically.
Is that hamburger? We know it looks like it, but is it really raw hamburger? Health hazard!
They eloped. They still wanted a cake to celebrate the occasion. Apparently, this was it.
They imagined a cake with a majestic peacock decorating it. This was what they got instead.
25. For the chicken lovers
Let’s face it, cake isn’t exactly healthy. How much worse could fried chicken and mashed potatoes really be?
Well, she’s smiling, so perhaps she’s not upset by this “likeness.” It’s pretty bad though.
27. When even the anniversary goes wrong
Okay, so the wedding cake didn’t turn out quite as planned, but you still have your 50th anniversary to look forward to. Right? Not if you use the baker who promises gold and delivers this instead.
