25 Hilarious servers who ‘served’ their customers more than they asked for
A good sense of humor is everything in life!

In the food and beverage industry, our mighty waiters, waitresses, and bartenders are the frontliners even before the pandemic devastated and shut down almost the entire world. They talk to countless people from all walks of life on a daily basis. They work tirelessly day in, day out, trying to bring home a decent paycheck to their families.

The sad thing about their job is that it’s oftentimes belittled by many people. Truth be told, many people look down on their job title simply because they’re working in a bar or restaurant. Their hard work and dedication towards their job are being overlooked by people who think so highly of themselves.

This reality is a hard pill to swallow, isn’t it?

Surprisingly, even if this has been the case for a long time, these hard workers are still ready to treat customers like customers. They have already mastered the art of being “numb” from the everyday insults that they’re getting from customers.

But instead of giving bad customer service to arrogant customers, they can still manage to pull off a smile on their faces. Over the years and through experience, waiters, waitresses, and bartenders have seen enough drama, action, horror, and comedy in life.

These life experiences also taught them to teach these types of customers “lessons” in a form of “service”, which are sometimes just too funny to handle. We’ve picked 25 of the best that we’ve seen on the internet and we hope that you’ll like them as much as we did.

1. Buzzer beaters

The waitress who took this photo was on her last shift as a waitress so she decided to make this photo associated with the word “last.” She managed to ask this set of friends and did her own version of “The Last Supper.” Wondering who’s Judas among them?!

2. Be careful what you wish for

This guy’s dad tried to do a dad-joke by asking for “one very small check.” The waitress was happy to obey and gave him what he asked for. It’s a shame sometimes when you just try to be funny and this happens, guess that became dad’s last joke for that day.

3. Wait for your turn

We hope that this message goes without even actually saying it, especially in a busy place like bars and restaurants. Well, this uniform would definitely work well in any crowded establishment and it’s a brilliant idea so customers won’t go crazy over waiting for their orders to be taken.

4. Talking about small

When a customer asked a German waiter for a small beer he delivered what’s asked in an on-point hilarious way. We don’t know, though, if this is really what a small beer looks like there, but it looks like another dad-joke has been slain over here.

5. Lemons lemons lemons

When a waiter already had a long day and a customer kept on complaining about their water not having some lemons, this was the result. The waiter definitely received no more complaints about lemons on the water for the rest of that night.

6. An honest comment

We don’t know how bad this waiter’s day was or how annoying and demanding the customer was. What we know is that the customer was lucky enough to still have the chance to walk away from the establishment in one piece, alive, and breathing.

7. Enjoy my selfies

When waiters have enough of taking pictures of their customers, this happens. When this group of friends asked this waiter to take photos of them, he made them look like fools by posing for the camera all the while using the front lens and took photos of himself instead.

8. When you see it

This Starbucks barista’s leggings were skin-toned, thus making her look like she’s not wearing pants. When she sees this photo, we bet she’s never going to use these leggings again. Talking about optical illusion in photos? Well, this is a perfect example.

9. Ready to serve

For a business to prosper, you need to have a gimmick, and this one is downright brilliant! I don’t know about you, but the uniform at this restaurant is a straight punch to a successful marketing strategy, in my opinion. It looks like the servers in this restaurant are all ready to serve!

10. Piece of cake

He is not Spiderman and definitely doesn’t have super sticky hands, just pure talent when it comes to complete utilization of both his arms. Step aside amateurs, learn from this guy!

11. A bad review

This is one way to make good use of something bad. When this restaurant printed a one-star review from a customer, they had it printed on their uniforms. We’re not sure if they’re trying to set proper expectations or if they don’t want “Danica F.” ever again inside their establishment.

12. BYE

We’re not sure who drew this grumpy cat, if it’s the waiter or the customer. One thing is certain though, things didn’t go smooth that evening. After all, that’s some good drawing skills right there.

13. TIP THIS WOMAN IMMEDIATELY

If you have tried wearing a bulky mascot costume yourself, then you should know how hard it is to wear one while doing a full-time job. Kidding aside, this lady bartender deserves more than just tips, unless she wants her boyfriend to know how she actually feels that day?

14. This one is not a joke

This bartender was probably sick of hearing Game Of Thrones spoilers from customers so he decided to put a note on the counter. Looks like you can talk about almost anything in this bar, just not about Game of Thrones.

15. Cold weather

This elderly woman told the waiter she’s feeling a bit cold so he brought this, not sure if he’s joking or if that’s the only thing they had. Either way, he was still ready to oblige, he must’ve also brought some hot soup for the woman to warm herself up.

16. Fill in the blanks

When a customer doesn’t feel generous enough with writing feedback about their experience, this is going to be the result. The waiter already took the liberty of writing down their experience so they didn’t need to worry about writing it. This customer must’ve been out of words after seeing this.

17. Listen closely

This was the customer’s receipt from their favorite waitress and she was obviously listening to whatever this customer said. If your favorite server doesn’t give you a receipt as detailed as this, then you should switch to this particular waitress, and switch to their bar, of course.

18. It’s the thought that counts

It was this customer’s birthday but they can’t fully digest the sugar (lactose) in milk, so the waitress brought this. Isn’t it sweet? It may not be a sumptuous cake but the thought was sure there, and yes, one thing the waitress forgot, a candle to blow.

19. New shoes

We all know that their job doesn’t give them the highest paycheck, but they still do their job no matter what. If you are a customer and don’t care about giving a tip to your server, then this waitress made a clever way to ask for tips without even talking, just look at that poor shoe.

20. A not so busy day

It’s either a busy day or a lazy day. Well for this waiter, it’s the latter. It looks like they’re having a slow day with not many customers walking in to dine. He even managed to doze off but with a hand-written sign on his chest.

21. Just clearing the tables

This restaurant was all set for new customers, thanks to this guy who managed to bus out all the tables. Just look at that rack of messy plates, and if you’ll look closely, it seems that he’s only using his bare hands. He’s definitely qualified to be the employee of the month!

22. Waiters on wheels

This restaurant in China had its waiters ride on roller skates. With that type of floor, it’s simply amazing for these waiters to be sliding here and there while holding food platters in both hands. That’s some incredible balance right there.

23. Spell check

How confusing can this be? This customer probably told the barista “Brian with a Y”, so he got this. You’ll never know if you’ve been trolled or not but, in this case, the answer’s pretty obvious.

24. Mission accomplished

This is just one of the many perks of being a barista, there are plenty of ways to hit on a beautiful girl at a bar, just like this. This is one slick move closer to the girls and it’s also low-cost, you just need a marker.

25. Sleep in a bed of green bills

St. Patrick’s Day or the Feast of Saint Patrick is a day when most bars are filled with beer lovers. For bartenders just like this woman, it’s an extremely exhausting day, but just look at that bed of tips! That’s going to make anyone sober in an instant.
