Baking requires a kind of precision like no other.

Your measurements should be exact, including the time duration for each step – beating, stirring, pre-heating, and such.

They also take up so much time to prepare.

Thankfully, not all cakes need baking.

Make sure there are no lumps.

Then, add the starch and mix again. You must eliminate the bubbles in the mixture so that your batter will be smooth.

Pour the milk in a thin stream while stirring constantly.

When the batter is mixed well, put the pan on top of a stove and set it to low heat. Continue stirring while heating the mixture and bring it to a boil.

Once it starts boiling, remove it from the stove.

Now, make it silky.

You can cut them into smaller pieces to fill the gap and cover the entire area.

If you find this a bit difficult, you can use a square mold of the same size instead.

Pour a layer of batter.

Spread a ¼” thick layer.

Place another layer of puff pastry, then pour the batter again. Do this until your reach the top.

Slowly remove the mold from the cake and carefully peel back the cling wrap.

You can either dig in at this point or add some more artistic flair by sprinkling the sides with more of the crushed puff pastry pieces.
